We are an independent café in the centre of Maidenhead with an interactive play space. The environment and supporting local are at the heart of what we do.
We set out to create a space where you can just be you, whilst having a positive impact on your community, and minimising any negative impact on the precious environment. So this means we say a big yes to locally sourced, seasonal and organic options wherever possible.
Our story
As new parents we quickly realised life was never going to be the same! Even going to a café was no longer the same. We struggled to find somewhere that we could go, where our mini’s could play safely, where we didn’t need to worry about space for the buggy, or looking over our shoulders to see if we were disturbing others. Sometimes we just wanted to recharge, hang out with friends in a comfortable, relaxed environment, that wasn’t a crowded child-and-guardian-only softplay.
So we set out to create a space where you, can be you.
Whether that’s the parent in you, looking for a space where you can catch up with friends, not having to worry about your mini-me being entertained. Or whether you just want some time out to focus on work, reflect or relax with a good cup of Coffee or Chai.
Our mini’s are our inspiration. So we wanted to create a space for the mini with you, giving them their own space to explore, play and make their own friends over Cocoa too.
A space where you can do all this, whilst having a positive impact on your community, and minimising any negative impact on the precious environment. So this means we say a big yes to locally sourced, seasonal and organic wherever possible. And we are on our own zero waste journey.
We love diversity and recognise you all have different tastes and needs, so we are creating a menu which is flexible and allows you to be you. Vegan, gluten-free options, and dairy alternatives, we will have everything from Chai to Cocoa.
We're firm believers that if each person made just one more sustainable change, it would amount to so much more than a few people doing it perfectly. And this is the message we want everyone to take away when they visit us. Whether it's opting for an alternative milk, trying out our meat-free options, or bringing in your reusable for your coffee to go.
